VALE aims to help female graduates to validate the leadership skills gained during a placement abroad via the development of a European portfolio of competences, including problem solving, decision-making, confidence and self-efficacy. The partnership endeavours to increase the number of European placements by providing SMEs with best practices when hosting trainees, focusing on the skill development of trainees and maximising the benefits for their enterprise. Moreover, VALE hopes to increase the transparency of lifelong learning through this validation of informal skills in line with ECVET principles and the under-representation of women in leadership positions. Thanks to a leadership portfolio template, both enterprises and female trainees can work towards a skill set that will help them become more competitive in the labour market.

Results and products:
The VALE project will produce a Leadership Skills Portfolio for female graduates in a vocational field to complete during a work placement abroad at an SME.
