The EVIVE partnership consider that active citizenship is necessary in Europe. In order to come closer to this aim it’s necessary to be aware of the value systems of different countries and to work on common European values.
For that reason EVive defines the following concrete objectives: to represent the meaning of values and value systems in the partner countries as well as on a European level; to create a working definition of values to clarify their meaning and the working processes; to analyse the importance of values in the partner countries (France, UK, Germany, Bulgaria, Turkey, Romania) as well as on a European level; to compile and analyse existing national concepts for the promotion of values in VET; and to discuss and share didactical methods to promote values effectively in VET.
Thus, EVIVE will be able to compile a common set of European values and create a common teaching approach in order to tackle the problems of pluralism and offer a basis for young European learners to cope with the challenges of a globalising European environment.
Dates: 2013-2015
Results and products: The main goal of EVIVE is to create a common curriculum of European shared values (such as democracy, gender issues, teamwork etc.).
